Who is responsible for your information

Tagalog Hero operates the learning service at tagaloghero.com and acts as the controller of the personal information described in this policy. The privacy contact for Tagalog Hero is available at echo.woodland.99@gmail.com. This policy applies to learners who use Tagalog Hero from any country.

Information we collect

Account and authentication

When you use Google Sign-In, we receive your Google account identifier, name, email address, profile image, and authentication information needed to maintain your session. We do not receive your Google password.

Membership and billing

Stripe processes subscription payments. We receive and store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, membership status, billing-period dates, and cancellation status. Tagalog Hero does not receive or store your full card number or card security code.

Learning and preference data

We store lesson completion, exercise performance, noun and skill mastery, review timing, learning settings, and related progress. A random browser identifier and local storage may be used for pre-sign-in continuity and to connect existing local progress to an account. We also retain a pseudonymous device category and recent activity time to operate cross-device progress and review aggregate service usage; we do not retain the full browser user-agent string for this purpose.

Ideas and communications

When you submit an idea, we store the idea, your account identifier, your Google first name, and the submission time. Other signed-in learners can see the idea, first name, and time. If you email us, we receive the information contained in that message.

Service and optional analytics data

Our hosting and security providers may process request timestamps, IP addresses, approximate country, browser or device information, and diagnostic logs. If you allow Analytics, Google Analytics uses pseudonymous identifiers to measure page visits, approximate region, browser or device information, and site interactions. We do not send your name, email, Google account ID, payment details, or learning-progress record to Google Analytics.

Optional advertising measurement

If you allow advertising measurement, the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API record page visits, checkout starts, and confirmed memberships, together with the page URL and browser, device, IP-address, and cookie identifiers used by Meta for attribution, campaign measurement, and ad delivery. Confirmed membership events may be sent directly from our server so browser restrictions do not prevent measurement. Tagalog Hero does not send your name, email, Google account ID, lesson answers, or learning-progress record to Meta.

Why we use information

• Provide the service: authenticate accounts, synchronize progress, deliver lessons, and maintain memberships.
• Personalize learning: select review material and adapt lesson recommendations from your performance.
• Operate safely: prevent abuse, enforce limits, troubleshoot failures, and protect accounts.
• Meet obligations: maintain billing, tax, accounting, consumer, and legal records where required.
• Improve Tagalog Hero: review aggregate or de-identified service performance and, only with consent, optional Analytics.

Depending on your location, these activities rely on performing our agreement with you, complying with law, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and your consent for optional analytics and advertising measurement. You can withdraw either consent without losing access to lessons.

Adaptive learning

Tagalog Hero uses lesson and exercise results to choose practice and review material. This personalization affects what learning content you see next. It does not make decisions that create legal, employment, credit, educational-admission, or similarly significant effects.

Providers and international processing

We use the following providers to operate Tagalog Hero:

• Neon provides authentication and database storage.
• Vercel hosts, secures, and delivers the website.
• Google provides account sign-in and, with permission, Analytics.
• Stripe processes membership payments and billing management.
• Meta provides optional advertising attribution and campaign measurement.

These providers may process information in Canada, the United States, the European Economic Area, or other locations where they or their subprocessors operate. Information may therefore be subject to laws different from those in your country. We select established providers and rely on their contractual, organizational, and technical safeguards for international processing.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or during a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information. If you allow advertising measurement, Meta may use the events described above according to its terms and privacy choices, including for attribution, campaign optimization, and ad delivery.

Cookies and local storage

Essential storage is required for account and service functions. Optional Google Analytics and Meta storage are not activated until you enable the corresponding choice. Rejecting optional measurement does not prevent access to the learning service.

Retention and deletion

• Account and learning data is kept while your account is active and as needed to provide the service.
• Ideas remain visible until removed, the associated account is deleted, or retention is required for moderation or legal reasons.
• Membership and transaction records may be kept after cancellation where tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or consumer laws require it.
• Security logs and backups remain only for the applicable provider's operational retention period and are then deleted or overwritten.
• Google Analytics event data follows the retention setting configured for our Analytics property; browser cookies may last up to 400 days.

To request account deletion, email echo.woodland.99@gmail.com from your account email. We will verify the request and remove or de-identify information that is not required for legal, billing, security, or dispute purposes. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until those backups are overwritten.

Account deletion and membership cancellation are separate. Cancel future membership renewal from Profile before requesting deletion. If you ask us to delete an account with an active membership, tell us to cancel the membership as part of the same request so future renewal can be stopped.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a portable copy of your information, and may withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local privacy or data-protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. Security and incidents

We use HTTPS, managed authentication, access controls, restricted credentials, and provider security measures. No online service can guarantee absolute security. If a breach creates a notification duty, we will notify affected people and regulators as required by applicable law.

Children

Tagalog Hero is not directed to children under 13. You must also be old enough to consent to account and data processing under the law where you live; otherwise, a parent or guardian must authorize your use. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information without valid permission should contact us for review and deletion.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice for material changes when required. Previous processing remains governed by the version applicable at that time.
